It's been raining at night these past few days, and I suddenly remembered the cat shelter I made but haven't used yet I'll make the entrance wider for the dogs to use, so they won't have to endure the wind and rain outside I'll add a cushion to make their shelter softer, then I'll carry the puppies home in a bucket This is my first time seeing such young puppies, they seem to be only about a week old I was a bit worried the mother dog might bite me, so I started talking to her, telling her I made them a warm shelter

A friend who raises dogs told me it's best to put some dry straw in dog shelters So I went to ask around the nearby village for straw. The mother dog followed me the whole way Fortunately, this elderly man had some straw and gave it to me. After getting it, I started heading back After thanking the elderly man, I called the mother dog and we went back. I quickly laid down the straw for them
Now the dogs' shelter is very secure, with small bricks weighing it down and thick plastic sheets hanging on both sides The wind won't blow it away in this weather. I carefully stuffed the straw inside, being very gentle to avoid hurting the puppies After setting up the straw, I went to handle other tasks, as the small courtyard is almost finished renovating, and I'm working on some handcrafts During a break, I saw the mother dog searching for food below, so I called her back The mother dog is really friendly and obedient, she comes whenever I call her. Before leaving in the afternoon, I prepared a bowl of food for Eleven I also left an extra bowl of white rice nearby in case she gets hungry at night Later, I added more bricks on top of the plastic covering the house - now it can withstand even stronger winds Knowing I was leaving to rest, Eleven came to see me off, following me. I told her to go back and take care of her babies Earlier when puppies got out, I thought they crawled out themselves, until today I saw... Today the incident happened again. I gave Eleven many of the dumplings I had for lunch. After the water boiled, I shaped the mixture into bun shapes and steamed them for half an hour Eleven must have smelled the aroma, as she waited patiently beside the stove. I told her to wait just a little longer, it would be ready soon The little one kept licking her lips, must be really hungry. When the first batch was done, it was also our mealtime
Eleven started going around to each worker having lunch, just like she used to do before we found her We would all feed her something, which is why she's so friendly with all of us. Once the food balls cooled down, it was her turn to eat Actually, Eleven has become a bit picky with food now. I was worried she wouldn't like this - before she would happily eat plain white rice Later she would only eat rice with chicken breast, picking out just the chicken. I even have video proof - she'd dig holes in her food looking for chicken
Looks like she loves this too. All six puppies in the den are very healthy, some are so energetic they crawl around like they're battery-powered, never stopping After Eleven finished eating, she went in to nurse her puppies. This little one can run now, so lively When the puppies saw their mother come in, they all rushed to nurse. The grey-speckled one kept searching upward for milk In the afternoon when I had free time, we both sunbathed here. Every time I call her, she comes over willingly to let me pet her
Well-fed and content, she's so relaxed from my petting that she can barely keep her eyes open. Must feel really good. Our Eleven is quite beautiful Before leaving, I fed Eleven a bit more, but she grabbed the food and ran. I quickly followed to see where she would hide it I chased after her, telling her there's plenty more food for her, no need to hide it The little one seemed to understand, stopped running, and started eating the food ball she was carrying Such a heartwarming good girl.
